An interpretive walking route along the Ribeira de Salir (interior of Loulé), called «Landscape, Memories and Cultures of Water», is scheduled for September 29, at 16 pm, organized by the QRER – Cooperative for the Development of Low Density Territories.
The tour is part of the celebrations of the European Heritage Days and the World Tourism Day and is also part of the programming of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
"Along the stream, numerous structures for capturing and storing water associated with irrigation systems allow us to learn a little about the traditional agriculture of the Algarve's Barrocal and rural experiences", explains the organization.
The activity promoted by QRER has the participation of its cBaroque operators – cultural and tourist products e ART.
The tour runs from 16:00 pm to 19:00 pm, being a circular route of about 5 kilometers, classified as easy. It is recommended to bring water, a small snack, hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes suitable for walking. The meeting point is next to the building of the former Primary School of Salir.
