«The biggest beer festival in the world» is back, from September 27th to October 6th, at Vila Vita Biergarten, in Porches (Lagoa), in another edition of the «largest and most authentic Oktoberfest in Portugal».
O beer garden Vila Vita Parc, located off the EN125, at the Porches roundabout, recreates the atmosphere of this typical German party, with live music, traditional Bavarian food and lots of beer served by staff dressed in traditional costumes, as well as mural paintings depicting scenes from life in Bavaria.
Highlights on the menu include traditional sausages and a variety of side dishes. Included in the obligatory dishes are Schnitzel, herring, bretzl, potato salad, pickles, pork hock with sauerkraut, Bavarian cold cuts and, of course, apfelstrudel.
The event, which registered a record number of around 700 visitors per night in 2017 and which is once again supported by Erdinger beer, will this year offer double the entertainment, with two live bands, coming directly from Germany and the Austria, who will perform every night (a different band each week) from 19pm. The repertoire consisting of traditional Bavarian music and many others hits of popular music worldwide is guaranteed fun.
Another novelty at this year's Oktoberfest is the Happy Hour which will take place every day between 16 pm and 00 pm, where you can order two 18cl beers for the price of one.
During Oktoberfest, Vila Vita Biergarten will be open from 16 pm to midnight, with live music from 00 pm. Table reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling +00 00 19 00 or by email [email protected]. Free outdoor parking.
