The Algarve and Baixo Alentejo are under yellow warning due to the forecast of waves from 4 to 5 meters northwest, on the Costa Vicentina and on the Alentejo coast.

The yellow warning issued by the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), motivated by the agitation of the sea, is in force from 6:00 am today, Thursday, until 6:00 am tomorrow, January 19th.

Also according to IPMA, the rain that is expected to fall in the North of the country will not reach the South, at least, until next Thursday. During the weekend, the Algarve can count on clear or slightly cloudy skies, with maximum temperatures around 20 degrees, in Faro, and minimums of 9 degrees.
