A head-on collision on the Troto Variant of the EN125 (Loulé) caused one death and four serious injuries. The accident occurred around 16:00 on Friday and involved two light passenger vehicles. The road has been closed to traffic in both directions since then.

Second revealed to Sul Informação the District Relief Operation Command (CDOS) of Faro, it was necessary to resort to a vehicle to extricate victims. This was one of the many vehicles that were at the site, among means of INEM, Firefighters of Loulé and Sapadores de Faro and GNR.

For now, there is still no indication of the age and nationality of the victims.

Since it opened, this is the second fatal accident on this new section of the EN125. Last October, there was also a head-on collision, which resulted in two deaths and three serious injuries. The casualties were British citizens, who have gone down the wrong side of the road, perhaps out of confusion.

In this Variant of Troto, there is a vast extension with discontinuous trace, allowing overtaking, although with good visibility for the most part.
