Athlete Filipe Santos, from FC Ferreiras, won the bronze medal at the European Swimming Championship DSISO, for athletes with Down syndrome, in Paris.

The Algarve swimmer was representing Portugal in this international competition and, in addition to the bronze medal in 200 meters moth, he was fourth in so many individual competitions.

At the collective level, he participated in the relays of the Portuguese team, «achieving several medals», according to the Algarve Swimming Association (ANAlgarve), which congratulates the athlete and his coach Paulo Sousa for their «good performance».
