Applications for scholarships, given by the City of Silves to students attending higher education, start on 16 October.
Each scholarship has a value of 80 euros and a duration of 10 months, in accordance with the Regulation of Scholarships of the Municipality of Silves.
The documentation delivery period ends on October 31st.
Interested parties must complete an individual application form, provided by the education sector of the Chamber of Silves, which form must be accompanied by the following documents: certificate of academic achievement for the previous academic year, including the final grade obtained and proof of enrollment in higher education in the academic year to which the scholarship refers.
These are also accompanied by a declaration of IRS/IRC relating to the previous calendar year of each member of the household, or, in the absence thereof, a declaration issued by the Parish Council of the place of residence, about the socio-economic situation of the candidate and/or household, proof of housing benefit or income, a photocopy of the candidate's identity card and another copy of the candidate's voter card or, when under 18, of his/her guardian.
Finally, a statement signed by the candidate, or, when under 18 years of age, by their guardian is also required, stating whether or not their candidacy has a scholarship from another organization or entity.
