The Festival of Traditions starts this Friday, August 25th, only ends on Sunday, the 27th, and until then there will be gastronomy, music, poetry and comedy, in the Municipal Garden of São Bartolomeu de Messines.
The event brings together artisans and local products, also combining this gastronomic aspect through the taverns.
In music, variety is a point of order, as there will be folklore, pop rock, rap and even music and dance from the world.
For example, one of the concerts is already scheduled for this Friday, with the band “Alhada”, which sings traditional Portuguese music. On Sunday there is, in turn, a show by “Yemadas”, with music and dances from around the world.
The «talent of the land» André Guerreiro will also take the stage, but on Saturday, 26 August. As for the opening of the event, this Friday, at 19 pm, it includes a parade of costumes and professions, leaving the Museum dedicated to these two themes, in São Bartolomeu de Messines.
This event always opens at 19 pm, being organized by the Parish Council of São Bartolomeu de Messines, with support from the City Council of Silves.
