The 38th edition of Fatacil, which took place from the 18th to the 27th of August, took «more than 170 thousand visitors» to the Municipal Park of Fairs and Exhibitions of Lagoa.

This was, in the words of Luís Encarnação, councilor of Lagoa, «one of the best» Fatacil «ever».
In the last three days, for example, the event received around 70 thousand people. During this period, the daily record of visitors was also broken: «more than 25 on Friday, 25 August, naturally seduced by the great concert offered by “Xutos e Pontapés”», according to the organization.
«The quality of the poster chosen for this year, seeking and managing to cover a great diversity of tastes and age groups, was one of the reasons for the success of this edition», said Francisco Martins, president of the Lagoa Chamber.
The mayor also underlined the «excellent work of all the people involved in the organization» and the offer in terms of exhibitors, entertainment, gastronomy and the «excellence of shows» provided by the equestrian sector.
«The national debut of the rider Clémence Faivre, with the Lusitano Horse 'Fuego', was one of the stars in the Picadeiro, complementing in the best way a program that knew how to combine equestrian art with the intangible heritage of humanity, with the presence of Fado and Cante Alentejano», adds the organization.
The organization of Fatacil «responded in the best way to some initial difficulties in accessing the venue, reinforcing the offer in terms of available ticket offices and electronic ticket reading», he considers.
“The seven available car parks also helped to facilitate access to the area of the Municipal Park of Fairs and Exhibitions of Lagoa”, he explains.
On the last day, the Lagoa Urban Park project was presented. And now it is «time to start preparing the 39th edition of the Fair», with the objective of «organizing the best Fatacil ever».
