The play “Noivo by chance”, with Fernando Mendes, premieres on August 3, at 22 pm, at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, where it will be on display until the 00th of the same month.

After the seasons in Lisbon and Porto and a major national tour, it's time for Fernando Mendes, Carla Andrino, Patrícia Tavares and Frederico Amaral to take the stage again in this hall, in the city of Portimão.

Vítor Moreira (Fernando Mendes) is a contractor who is asked to make a budget for a company's remodeling work. It turns out that this company is not just any company. It is a matrimonial agency, a fact that Vítor Moreira did not know. And not only didn't I know it was a marriage agency, I didn't know what a marriage agency was.

“What was supposed to be a normal working day quickly turned into the longest day in Vítor's life (and not only). This is because on the day and at the time that Vítor is going to make the budget, the owner of the matrimonial agency is waiting for a millionaire client (a Portuguese who is a banker in New York), who in turn is also waiting to leave that agency already engaged, on that day», reveals Segredo Público, the show's promoter.

Vítor ends up being confused with the banker and, “due to circumstances, he will have to pass himself off as him with the group of candidates that the owner of the agency has already selected for the banker to choose for his future wife. This is because the owner of the agency entices him with a good amount of money, coming from the candidates' applications».

Vítor, «as a good Portuguese contractor, loves easy money» and «is willing to do anything not to let this opportunity slip away. It turns out that, as time goes by, money that used to be easy seems to get harder and harder. This is because the candidates each have very specific and marked characteristics and personality traits, and will make these small interviews hell for Vítor, who is even more married and will have to hide from his jealous and possessive wife what is going on , to be taking so long», adds the prosecutor.

However, «the plan that had everything to end well, gets more complicated with each passing minute, making Vítor and the owner of the agency question whether this small/large scam was a good idea».

Since «going back would be the worst option (…) we have to move forward, even if the path seems tortuous». It remains to be seen whether crime pays.

The show will be on stage on Thursdays and Fridays, as well as Saturdays, always at 22 pm, in a total of 00 performances.
