The Municipality of Alcoutim will continue to dispense with the collection of 5% in the IRS headquarters on the individual income of citizens. The measure was approved yesterday, July 26, and is intended to be a “stimulus for the maintenance and attraction of new residents”.

The autarchy also decided that it will fix “at the minimum rate (0,3%) the IMI to be charged next year and the maximum reduction foreseen in the law of the IMI rate according to the number of dependents”.

With regard to the application of the family coefficient, "the tax benefits translate into a reduction in the IMI rate to be applied to the urban property intended for the taxpayer's own and permanent dwelling according to the number of elements that make up the household, being 20 euros for families with one child, 40 euros for families with two children and 70 euros for families with three or more dependents", adds the municipality.

Although these measures "result in a decrease in municipal revenues, thus obliging an additional effort by the municipality, they alleviate the tax burden of residents in the municipality, thus constituting a stimulus to the maintenance and attraction of new residents", concludes the Chamber of Alcoutim.
