The Parish of Santa Maria, in Tavira, will have, from Sunday, May 7th, at 9:00 am, a weekly mass in English, announced the Diocese of Algarve.
This Eucharist, celebrated precisely in the Church of Santa Maria by the parish priest Miguel Neto, aims to “provide a better welcome to all foreign tourists who visit that locality and neighboring towns”.
The Diocese recalls that «in the Algarve, only Eucharists are celebrated in English in Luz de Lagos, Almancil and Alvor». With the implementation of this mass in Tavira, “a celebration in the English language is also ensured in Sotavento, with a greater possibility for foreign visitors to participate in the celebrations”.
