Leonardo Di Caprio, Viola Davis and Anthony Anderson are some of the Hollywood stars confirmed in a promotional action that the Associação Turismo do Algarve (ATA) will promote tomorrow and Saturday, the 24th and 25th of February, on Rodeo Drive, in Los Angeles.

This is an unprecedented action, in terms of national tourism, whose main objective is to «awaken interest and curiosity in relation to the destination», taking advantage of the media attention of the invited artists, according to the ATA.

The entity responsible for promoting the region's tourism in the international market established a partnership with the North American magazine Swanky Retreats, «a publication dedicated to the themes of travel and lifestyle and directed to a high segment, which presents the motto “Travel Outside the Obvious”».

For two days, ATA will dynamize a space in the famous block of Rodeo Drive, «which will include, among other areas, a luxury travel lounge».

«The invited celebrities who pass by will be entitled to receive a voucher with the offer of accommodation in one of the following luxury hotels in the Algarve, ATA members who accepted this challenge: Hilton Vilamoura, Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco, in Tavira, Monte Santo Resort, in Lagoa, and Hotel Bela Vista, in Portimão». according to the association.

And if Leonardo Di Caprio is the name that draws the most attention, due to his already extensive and diversified career as an actor, it is worth highlighting the presence of Viola Davis, nominated for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, in 2017.

«Awakening interest and curiosity in the Algarve in the North American market and consolidating its position as an appealing destination that presents, among other aspects of its diversified offer, a set of luxury infrastructures, are the main objectives of this action whose return , in terms of visibility and international projection, it is expected to be very significant», concluded the ATA, recalling the growth of this American market in the Algarve in 2016.
