The presentation of the new Skoda Kodiaq, which is taking place in Albufeira, until March, will take around 300 people a day to Herdade dos Salgados.
According to the City Council of Albufeira, "expectations point to between 10 and 12 thousand people passing through Albufeira between February and March", as did the Sul Informação already there were walked.
In total, the event "will guarantee 15 thousand nights of accommodation in the middle of the low season", adds the municipality.
Carlos Silva e Sousa, president of the Council of Albufeira, visited the preparations for the presentation of the car last week and considered that «the event is an asset for the municipality and for the region itself, both for the immediate financial return it generates, through the increase of income and the creation and maintenance of jobs in the middle of the low season, or through the media projection associated with this type of initiatives».
The assembly and preparation of the scenario where the Kodiaq will be presented started on the 9th of January, which was followed by a week of adjustments that coincided with the formation of the trainers and the arrival of the first groups.
The municipality of Albufeira emphasizes that «Albufeira is already part of the privileged destinations of the automobile industry at an international level for training and presentation of new models».
