The proceeds from the Christmas Fair of the Colégio Internacional de Vilamoura, which takes place on November 26, between 10:00 and 14:30, will revert to the Portuguese League against Cancer, the Existir Association, the Quarteira Social Refectory, the Big Hand and Miriam – the little fighter.
A Big hand finances the studies through the sponsorship of Mozambican children, while Miriam – the little fighter is a child with cerebral palsy.
In the grounds of this Christmas Fair there will be several stalls with gastronomy, biological products, books, toys, crafts, musical notes, art and entertainment for adults, children and young people. «Students, families and employees have already started the preparations» for this Fair, says Colégio de Vilamoura.
From 11:00 am to 13:00 pm there will be a Father Christmas, with Christmas carols at 11:30 am, sung by students from the 1st cycle. Already at 14 pm there is a raffle draw.
The Vilamoura College says, regarding this initiative, that “it is based on the assumption that the school, as a laboratory of life, should promote the encounter of the educational community around solidarity events”.
This initiative has the support of the Municipality of Loulé, the Parish Council of Quarteira and Inframoura.
