The Algarve's Pedro Martins was eliminated this Sunday from the men's singles table of the Olympic Games badminton tournament. The Lagoon lost 2-0 against the 11th seed of the race Angus Ng Ka Long, from Hong Kong, and was in last place in his group.
The athlete from Lago lost by the partials of 21-17 and 21-18 and, since had already lost on the debut, ended up not being able to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
