Armação de Pêra hosts the “Semana Gastronomica do Mar” between the 4th and 12th of June. The initiative involves 12 restaurants, with special daily menus, which include all maritime products, from fish to seafood.
The participating restaurants are: Churrasqueira Balbino, Estrela-do-Mar, Marisqueira Hera, O Fernando, O Navegante, O Pelintra, O Silvense, Pôr-do-Sol, Rocha da Palha, O Casarão, Casa d'Ávó and Estrela-do - March 2.
According to the Câmara de Silves, which promotes the event, «everyone will show the gastronomic tradition of this village, deeply associated with fishing and the sea».
Throughout the days, more precisely on the 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th and 12th of June, in addition to the gastronomic aspect, the event will feature the entertainment of the Friends of Montenegro Ethnographic Group, which will pass through the participating restaurants, encouraging customers, between 12:00 and 15:00 and 19:30 and 23:30.
On June 12, at 21 pm, the Armação de Pêra Fortress receives the closing show of the event with “Zeca e os Pelintras”. At 00:22 pm, the executive councilor will deliver souvenirs related to the event to the participating restaurants.
The Municipality of Silves reveals that «in order to make this experience even more complete, the organization created a small passport that will allow its holders to enjoy a weekend draw (in a “accommodation and breakfast” regime) in one of the hotel units in Armação de Pêra».
In addition, all participants who complete the grid in their passport will also be offered a daily ticket to the Medieval Fair of Silves.
The draw for the attribution of the weekend will be held on June 17, at 15 pm, in the auditorium of the Municipality of Silves, with the winners being announced on the Municipality's website and facebook.
In addition, there will be a contest on Facebook, which will allow participants to receive free meals at participating restaurants.
