The second stage of the Rota do Petisco, which runs until Sunday, June 26, in the municipalities of Lagoa, Silves and Monchique, entered its final stretch this week.
To help the party, on the 24th and 25th (Friday and Saturday), the quartet “Os Petiscos” will liven up the streets of Monchique, so that the petitscadores don't lack music.
In the municipality of Lagoa, which this year made its debut on this good food route, there are 34 restaurants and patisseries throughout the municipality of Lagoa, divided into four zones. The second stage also covers 23 establishments in the municipality of Silves and 14 in Monchique.
The record holder is Ferragudo, which this year features 18 restaurants and patisseries, many of them integrating the Petisco Route for the first time. The Lagoa/Porches area has eight, Carvoeiro has four and Estômbar/Parchal another four.
In the Silves area, this time there are 14 restaurants and patisseries to participate, while Messines has nine. In Monchique, there will be 14.
In all, this 2nd stage of the Snack Route it has 72 participating establishments and the offer is better than ever. Here are some examples, just to whet your appetite: Roasted Fregineco & Sweet Potato, Pork Bruschetta with Orange Parsley, Corn with Beans, Octopus Albarado with Sweet Potato, Mackerel Tiborn, Pork Roasting with Sweet Potato Migas, Octopus in Tomato with Sweet Potato, Carne d'alguidar and Xarém, among dozens of others.
The Rota do Petisco's operating model is maintained: the idea is to pick up your passport (which can be obtained at participating establishments) and visit the restaurants and patisseries that present their Rota menu. A Petisco, always accompanied by a drink, has a unit price of 3 euros, while a Regional Sweet, accompanied by a liqueur, will cost 2 euros.
As happened last year, the Passport of Snack Route it is once again solidary, reversing its 1 euro cost, exclusively, to support seven social projects promoted by local institutions.
From here, all you have to do is choose, enjoy and collect stamps for each delicacy consumed, and you can win a participation gift or be eligible for many prizes to be drawn.
