The town of Colos, in the municipality of Odemira, will once again receive the Feira de S. João between the 24th and 26th of June. The event “is betting on boosting the livestock sector, showing handicrafts and local products and lots of entertainment”.
From 20:00 on Friday, June 24, and throughout the weekend, there will be an exhibition of handicrafts and regional products and an exhibition of agricultural machinery, with free entry. According to the Chamber of Odemira, there will also be several activities for children and young people, with inflatables and radical activities.
For Friday night, the performance of the Coral and Instrumental Group “Os Saramagos de Garvão” and the group “Sevilhanas Las Rocieras Golegã” is scheduled, followed by a dance throughout the night.
On Saturday, June 25th, at 16 pm, there will be a show dedicated to Cantares Alentejanos, the performance of “Cavaquinhos do Mira” and “Moços D'Uma Cana”. For the night, at 00 pm, the performance of comedian Serafim and a ball is reserved.
On Sunday, the 26th, at 9:00 am, there will be a guided mountain bike tour, the “Passeio de São João”. For the afternoon, from 16 pm, a show dedicated to the Cantares Alentejanos is scheduled. The Feira de S. João ends with an Alentejo Bullfight, starting at 00:19.
The initiative is promoted by the Parish Council of Colos and Colos XXI – Association for the Development of the Parish of Colos, with the support of the Municipality of Odemira.
