Portimão ChamberThe Local Support Center for Migrant Integration (CLAIM) in Portimão will be inaugurated this Wednesday, the 20th, at 15 pm, in a ceremony in the main hall of Paços do Concelho, presided over by assistant minister Eduardo Cabrita.

The opening of this CLAIM Portimão results from a cooperation protocol between the High Commission for Migration and the Municipality of Portimão, which will be officially formalized at this ceremony, by Pedro Calado, High Commissioner for Migration, and Isilda Gomes, Mayor of Portimao.

CLAIM Portimão will start operating in an office on the ground floor of the Paços do Concelho building, with entrance from Rua do Pé da Cruz.

It will be “a place to respond to the questions of migrants, where these citizens can find the necessary support and information and feel welcomed at the local level”.

Before, a similar structure had already operated in the Parish Council of Portimão.
