An open-air concert by António Zambujo, scheduled for the evening of 22 May, will close the new edition of Almarte – International Festival of Street Arts, which will take place over three days in Almodôvar.

Zambujo, whose concert will take place at Praça da República, in the center of that village in Baixo Alentejo, is just the first name to be known among a program that brings together nearly 400 performers from the most varied artistic disciplines.

António Zambujo, after a journey of 16 concerts at the Coliseus in Lisbon and Porto, always accompanied by Miguel Araújo, now resumes his solo tour of the album “Rua da Emenda”, where the unavoidable songs “Pica do 7” or “ Foolish Cockroach”.

For the organization of Almarte, the participation of António Zambujo is “fundamental”, since this year this International Festival of Street Arts is inspired by Lusofonia, “and no one like António Zambujo to musically define this homeland that is the Portuguese language".

Thus, in 2016, Almarte will feature artists from all Portuguese-speaking countries, in a "perfect cultural marathon" that will completely transform the streets of the heart of Almodôvar, between the 20th and 22nd of May, with dozens of interventions in theatre, music, dance, magic, circus arts, stand-up comedy or graffiti.
