Festival_Gastronomy_SerranaEight restaurants from Cachopo, Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, Santo Estêvão and Tavira will participate, from March 18 to April 10, in the 13th edition of the Serrana Gastronomy Festival, which gives a taste of the good flavors of the county's interior.

Those who enjoy traditional cuisine, local and seasonal products, as well as the Mediterranean lifestyle, can enjoy the restaurants “A Charrua”, “Retiro dos Caçadores” (Cachopo); “Baleeira” (Tavira), “O Constantino” (Montes and Lagares – Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo), “O Monte Velho” (Umbria – Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo), “Herdade da Corte”, Rural Hotel “Quinta do Marco” (Sítio da Corte – Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo) and “O Forno” (Largo da Igreja – Santo Estêvão) different dishes characteristic of the region.

Fresh cheeses with honey and in salads, roasted black pork sausage, ham, tomato soups with egg, gazpacho and pork ear are part of the menu entries of the various restaurants, which have lamb, wild boar, pork, quail in their menu, rooster and chicken, duly accompanied by wines from the region. Digestives of arbutus and fig brandy, as well as carrot, honey, plum, blackberry, pumpkin, orange and pear desserts complete the menus.

Anyone who goes to participating establishments and tastes the Festival's menus is eligible to win, by drawing lots, a stay in one of the following tourist accommodations: Herdade da Corte, Rural Hotel Quinta do Marco (parish of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo), Pensão Agrícola (Valongo – parish of Conceição and Cabanas), as well as enjoying a free tourist entertainment activity.
