The ministers of Science, Technology and Higher Education and of Health will visit the Algarve this Friday, March 11, as part of a common project to promote the development and modernization of medical education and clinical research within a framework of cooperation between institutions, involving physicians, professors, researchers and students.
Minister Manuel Heitor and Minister Adalberto Campos Fernandes present the new Board of Directors of Centro Hospitalar do Algarve (CHAlgarve), which took office this thursday, with which they will meet, together with the rector of the University of Algarve, with a view to the development of the Academic Center for Research and Biomedical Training of the Algarve, a consortium between UAlg and CHAlgarve.
The Government's Program determines the objective of improving the articulation between care, teaching, pre- and postgraduate training and research functions in universities, polytechnics and state laboratories, as well as supporting scientific research, in its clinical aspects. , public health and health services administration.
In the afternoon, Minister Manuel Heitor resumes his visits to universities and polytechnics and, in this regard, meets with the rectory, directors, teachers and researchers of the Organic Units of the polytechnic subsystem of UAlg and with companies in the region that they are examples of cooperation between the polytechnic subsystem and the business sector.
However, the Minister of Health, like the Sul Informação I had already reported, will also have a meeting, at 11:00 am, at the headquarters of AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve, with the 16 mayors of the region.
