Jose Carlos Barrosthe absence of funds destined for the Algarve, in the regionalized component of the Budget Program for Culture of the State Budget for 2016, it is "unacceptable", considered the Algarve deputy of the PSD José Carlos Barros, in the hearing to the Minister of Culture, in the scope of the discussion in the specialty.

According to José Carlos Barros, the Algarve is the only region in the country that is not included in this section of the Budget for Culture, accusing the Government of not making the numbers hit with what it advertises.

“It is unacceptable that the Budget Program foresees zero investment in the regionalized component, in a region where the interactions of culture and tourism are increasingly decisive in the perspective of development strategies”, considered the social-democratic parliamentarian.

In his interpellation, the PSD deputy considered that the budget documents have "very word it's too little excel», in the sense that, in this domain, «speech and word do not find correspondence in the budget plan». This is because there is, in general terms, a reduction of 2,9 million euros compared to 2015.
