neurons-1024x613The video “Neurónios Preguiçosos”, by students Andreína Monteira and Catarina Marques, under the guidance of teacher Rui António, from Escola Secundária João de Deus, in Faro, is part of the list of 10 finalists in the Ciência em Cena competition, promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

On March 12, the big winners will be announced at the Gala Marathon for Health, broadcast on RTP.

The "Ciência em Cena" is a contest of creative ideas, boosted by Descobrir Gulbenkian and the Health Marathon, which aims to awaken the interest of young students (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade and professional education) for scientific knowledge, raise awareness of various diseases and raise awareness of solidarity.

This year, participants were challenged to explore brain and neurodegenerative diseases.

“Film your words, your gestures, your voice and share your story about neurodegenerative diseases” was the challenge launched at schools.
