Two accommodation units in the municipality of Odemira were nominated, in different categories, for the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards 2016, which will be delivered on March 2, the first day of the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL).
In the category of Best Ecotourism Project, Zmar Eco Campo, located in Zambujeira do Mar, is one of the seven nominated, while in Best Tourism in Rural Areas, the nomination goes to Teima – Alentejo SW, located in Vale Juncal, parish of S. Teotonio.
The Publituris Portugal Trade Awards reward the personalities and companies that stood out in 15 categories in the sector, among which, Best Cruise Company, Best Event Venue, Best Touristic Entertainment Park/Company, Best Congress Space, Best Corporate Agency , Best Website Operator, Best Ecotourism Project and Best Rural Tourism.
The jury of the Publituris Portugal Trade Awards is composed of André Jordan, businessman; Armando Rocha, consultant partner at Neoturis; António Loureiro, regional director of TravelPort Portugal, Spain and Brazil; Bernardo Trindade, former Secretary of State for Tourism; Fátima Vila Maior, director of BTL; Frederico Costa, president of Visabeira Turismo; João Cotrim de Figueiredo, president of Turismo de Portugal; José Carlos Pinto Coelho, president of Onyria Hotels & Resorts; Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, president of the Vila Galé Group; José Castelão Costa, president of Pousadas de Portugal; José Manuel Esteves, general director of AHRESP; Humberto Ferreira, journalist; Luís Correia da Silva, former Secretary of State for Tourism; Luis Veiga, president of the Hotel Association of Portugal; Paulo Brilhante, coordinator of Boa Cama, Boa Mesa; Pedro Rodrigues, coordinator of Desafio Global Ativism, and Vítor Neto, former Secretary of State for Tourism.
Until the next 26th of February, it is also possible to vote at premios.publituris.pt. Winners are elected through a weighted average between the votes of subscribers to the Publituris newsletter (40%) and the votes of the jury (60%).
