Youth at EJA'13Young people from the Algarve will be able to directly question the heads of list for the Algarve to the Assembly of the Republic, from different parties, in an interactive debate that will take place within the Algarve Youth Forum, which will take place from today, Thursday, until Sunday , on the 20th of September, at the Penha Campus of the University of Algarve.

This event, promoted by the ECOS Cooperative, will bring together around 200 people, including youth, association leaders, educators, youth technicians and policy makers from across the country, and aims to «promote the participation and inclusion of young people in policy development of youth at local and regional level'. This is another integrated initiative in the project “Algarve 2020: a youth contract”.

"The meetings and activities taking place during the Forum seek to provide young people and other youth agents with a space for debate, work and learning for the construction, innovation and sustainability of our communities", summarized the cooperative that organizes the event, in a press release.

Algarve Youth ForumThe Forum's program includes several events, such as the 1st National Conference on "The Role of Youth Policies in the Development of Territories", the 2nd Algarve Youth Meeting, a new Meeting of Algarve Municipal Youth Technicians and a « Meeting of Young Creatives of the Algarve».

Training on the financing of "Erasmus+ Youth in Action", for association leaders and youth technicians, and an evaluation meeting of the project "European Democratic Citizenship for All!" are other highlights of the program.

«We believe that the results achieved during the Algarve 2020 project will be an important contribution to the promotion of a younger, innovative, entrepreneurial, cooperative and dialogic Algarve in the most diverse areas, and that it can be an example of success to be followed by other regions» , considers the ECOS Cooperative, which organizes the event.
