Alcoutim will introduce tax benefits to families with children, waive the participation in IRS and apply the minimum rate of IMI. The measures were approved at a Chamber meeting and will now be subject to approval by the Municipal Assembly.
The Chamber of Alcoutim added that “the reduction of the IMI rate to the maximum amounts provided for in the law according to the number of descendants was deliberated. It also decided to continue to dispense with the collection of 5% of IRS on income earned by individual taxpayers with tax domicile in the municipality and to set the IMI to be charged next year at a minimum rate of 0,3%».
With regard to the tax benefit for families with children in IMI, "the approved reduction is independent of the annual rate applied and translates into 10% for families with one child, 15% for families with two children and 20% for families with three or more children».
The president of the City Council, Osvaldo dos Santos Gonçalves, considers that «these measures, together with the birth support program implemented by the municipality, constitute yet another positive differentiation factor for the municipality, boosting the attraction and fixation of residents and encouraging the increase of the population in our county».
