Professional Insertion OfficeThe Algarve Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP) and the General Workers Union (UGT) signed a cooperation agreement within the scope of the network of Professional Insertion Offices (GIP).

With this partnership, the trade union central will help the state institute in the professional insertion of the unemployed in the Algarve.

The GIP network, launched in 2009, is being expanded through partnerships between the IEFP and various entities, such as the one that was cemented this Wednesday, in Faro. The partners are «public and private, non-profit entities, accredited to support the unemployed in their path of insertion in the labor market», according to the Algarve's IEFP.

The idea is to support these offices in their job promotion mission, «through the development of activities to support the active search for employment, attract and disseminate job offers, support placement, disseminate employment measures, training professional and entrepreneurship, among other activities to support the professional insertion or reintegration framed in a contract, with objectives, agreed between the employment service and the promoting entity».
