Fire ProtectionThe fire that broke out in the town of Vale da Porta, in São Marcos da Serra, municipality of Silves, was dominated during the early hours of this Thursday. The fire, which started at 18:36 pm yesterday and progressed in an area of ​​difficult access for firefighters, it had two active fronts, but was considered controlled at 3:15 am.

At 22 pm yesterday, the CDOS of Faro revealed to Sul Informação that the fire had no sensitive points, which means that it was not putting property and people at risk.

At that stage, the fire was being fought by 101 operatives, supported by 28 ground vehicles. Three track machines were also sent to the site. The aerial means were not activated, as the fire took place during the night.
