The action – which will tour the main beaches of the Alentejo coast, starting on the 3rd at Praia do Bico das Lulas, in Tróia, and ending on 12th August at Praia do Carvalhal, Odemira – contemplates the creation of a blue spot on the sand. dozens of parasols with the “Alentejo” signature that will be distributed to the bathers afterwards.
That Regional Tourism Entity recalls that the region has been, in recent years, considered by different international media – such as Rough Guides, AOL Travel, National Geographic, The Guardian or USA Today - as a must-visit destination and that the quality, beauty and uniqueness of Alentejo beaches are some of the distinctive values highlighted in the articles.
Alentejo Tourism is developing a Strategic Operational Plan for the Sun and Sea Tourism Product, which aims at «implementing strategies that allow a greater and more efficient use of the resources of the Alentejo's coastline».
