José Pedro Cardoso, president of JS Algarve, was unanimously appointed by the Political Committee of JS Algarve as the representative of the structure to be nominated for the list of deputies of the Socialist Party for the Algarve constituency, which will be led by José Apolinário from Algarve.
At the meeting that took place last Saturday in Olhão, José Pedro Cardoso expressed his willingness to “represent the Algarve and the Algarve on the list of PS deputies for the region's constituency, so that young people from the Algarve are better able to fight for their wishes. and for a region that needs everyone's effort to make itself heard in the national and European political panorama».
The president of JS Algarve stated that "fighting for greater youth representation is not all there is to do to bring young people back into politics", but that "more young people are needed in real political decision-making spaces to defend a generation which is going through serious difficulties and which has a very important contribution to make to building a serious change in Portuguese society, as recently defended by the PS Secretary General, António Costa».
José Pedro Cardoso also said that he will fight "for a list with quality and the youngest possible", and that, even if he is not elected, he will "take the concerns of the Algarve to parliament for the next four years."
José Pedro Cardoso is a trainee civil engineer, Member of the Municipal Assembly of Portimão for PS, member of the National Secretariat of JS and of the Regional Secretariat of PS Algarve and of the National Commission of PS for JS.
