A 28-year-old man from the airport in Faro was arrested for drug trafficking at Cork Airport in the Republic of Ireland after local authorities discovered about a pound of cocaine hidden in the lining of his suitcase.
According to the Irish newspaper “Evening Echo”, the value of the drug seized by the customs authorities of that country, in this operation, amounts to 40 thousand euros.
The man's nationality was not revealed.
