CDA_1The Algarve Dance Company (CDA) won three gold medals in the Dance World Cup/Dance World Cup 2015, which ran from June 27th to July 4th, in Bucharest, Romania.

Among three thousand participants from 38 countries, the Algarve school won, for the third consecutive time, the gold medal in contemporary dance, with choreographies by Carolina Cantinho.

In addition to the gold medal, the “Apart” choreography, dealing with the theme of the bullying, received the awards for Best Contemporary Dance Group and Best Choreography.

The CDA students left their mark, on stage and in the history of this competition, having won eight medals: three gold, two silver and three bronze, in addition to two special awards.

In the Dance World Cup, children and young people competed in the most varied dance modalities (ballet, modern/contemporary dance, jazz dance, character dance, tap dancing and hip hop), at different levels (mini, children, junior and senior) and categories (solos, duets/trios, quartets and groups).
