by moonlight theaterThe play «As Mulheres Sábias», by Moliére, will be shown in different parishes of Loulé, to liven up the summer nights, between the 23rd of July and the 8th of August. This is a production by the Loulé company Ao Luar Teatro, staged by Rui Penas.

The piece will be at Cerca do Convento, in Loulé (July 23), in Espargal, in Benafim (July 24), in Rua Vasco da Gama, in Quarteira (July 28), in Amendoeira, Querença (August 1st). ), in Boliqueime, next to the Church (August 2nd), in Tôr, next to the Church (August 7th) and in the Cultural and Recreative Association of Barrosas, parish of Salir (August 8th), always at 21 pm. Admission is free.

On stage will be actors Célia Martins, Liliana Vidal, José Pedro Ferraz, Rui Penas, Rui Pisco and Sara Paixão. The musical direction, composition and lyrics are the responsibility of Ana Figueiras.

«Ao Luar Teatro is a project founded in 2010 by a group of professionals interested in community theater, inspired by Serra do Caldeirão, having as guiding principles the recovery, affirmation and enhancement of oral tradition, dedicating special attention to customs and identity Algarve with a strong incidence in rural areas. It adopts a style based on comedy and interaction with the public», described Câmara de Loulé.

One of the differentiating characteristics of this theater company is the fact that it has chosen to be based in a low-density area, the village of Alte, assuming that it makes professional theater with rural inspiration, «always with a strong cultural identity and with a view to preserving it. identity and cultural diversity of communities and groups, encouraging and promoting intercultural dialogue».
