Albufeira's children and young people will have many activities to entertain themselves on the holidays that are about to start, provided by the Municipal Library and the Albufeira Youth Office (GAJ).
Enrollment for the Summer Vacation Camps, aimed at young people between 11 and 18 years old, has already opened and can be made until June 18th. For the youngest, there are activities at the Library, with registrations to be made starting next Monday, in the children's and youth sector of this cultural space.
The first of the five Summer Camps that will be promoted starts on June 29th. From here, there will be successive fields until August 28th. Each young person can enroll in one of the camps.
«Water Challenges, Surf, SUP, beach activities, interaction with animals and visits to Slide & Splash, Sítio das Fontes, Zoomarine and Radical Park are part of the proposals for this year. The program works in two sections: the first on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (full-day activities, visits and tours) and the second on Tuesdays and Thursdays (training and recreational activities in a workshop format)», as revealed by the City Council of Albufeira , in a press release.
To enroll, those interested should go to the GAJ, at the Municipal Swimming Pools, between 10 am and 18 pm or to the Parish Council in their area of residence, with the exception of the Albufeira Council.
Lídia Jorge Municipal Library once again carries out several workshops for residents between 6 and 14 years old. From books to plastic arts, recycling and cinema, there are several proposals for youngsters to occupy their free time during the months of July and August (see the full program below). All actions are dynamized by a superior technique from the Municipal Culture Division and will take place from 10 am to 13 pm, at the Lídia Jorge Library.
