The Algarve flavors, from the mountains and the sea, from the Barlavento and Sotavento, called, on Friday, to the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, in Faro, many people who wanted to taste some of the best delicacies that are made – and imagine – in the region.

The 1st Festival of Gastronomy – Mediterranean Diet had dishes for all tastes, from the most traditional to the most innovative, at attractive prices, and the corridors and cloister of EHTA were filled with people to taste the Monchique roast, the seafood bread soup , snails, fig cheeses, or liqueurs and arbutus. One of these diners was Miguel Poiares Maduro, Deputy Minister for Regional Development, who did not even shy away from tasting the good medronho mountain.

If in the cloister area the dishes were more traditional, in the innovation space, the smells whetted the appetite and curiosity of those who preferred to opt for a new gastronomic experience.

In addition to gastronomy, there was also music, with Mundopardo and Cante Andarilho.
