The young people of Olhão will make known what they know how to do, in another edition of the “Show yourself” initiative, which will take place throughout the month of May.
Musical moments, dance, cinema, theater, sports, among many other arts and ideas of young people from Olho, will be shown to the community in daily initiatives that will spread throughout the city, starting on Friday.
In 2015, the event organized by the municipality of Olhão, through its Youth House, has more than 80 institutional partners that deal with local youth. And, guarantees the municipality, “the project has been growing and more and more young people want to present themselves and show what they know how to do”.
The objective of «Show yourself» is, moreover, «to show the potential of young people from Olho, leading them to “show themselves” abroad».
The party starts on Friday, with the screening of old films about Olhão, at Praça Patrão Joaquim Lopes (next to the Floripes statue), from 22 pm, as part of the «Cinema ao Largo» project.
On Saturday, the event continues with a handicraft exhibition at the Levante Market, in the morning. In the evening, the Municipal Auditorium receives the III Gala Palco Aberto, in which «young musicians selected from the previous year» will participate, a free entry initiative scheduled for 21 pm.
