algar and childrenGiving new life to waste, making toys from them, was the activity offered to children from Faro schools by Algar SA, in workshops for the reuse of recyclable materials, promoted by the company as part of the European Car Free Day, in Faro.

The initiative was part of the European Mobility Week, promoted by the Municipality of Faro, this year under the theme “Our streets, our choice”. The actions took place in the historic center of Vila-Adentro.

Throughout the day, children from schools in the county had the opportunity to live fantastic experiences, such as Dance Workshops, experimenting with four-wheel pedal vehicles, electric train ride through the old town, horse-drawn carriage ride, workshops, games and are also considering playing on a large inflatable.

Algar SA is the company responsible for the reception, transfer, treatment and recovery of waste produced in the municipalities of Albufeira, Alcoutim, Aljezur, Castro Marim, Faro, Lagoa, Lagos, Loulé, Monchique, Olhão, Portimão, São Brás de Alportel, Silves, Tavira, Vila do Bispo and Vila Real de Santo António.
