Jose CidCounting down to this year's edition, the Sardine Festival promises to combine the most famous gastronomic delight of Portimão with a musical poster for all ages and tastes, in a popular party that between August 13th and 17th will attract thousands of visitors to City.

For five days, and from 19:00 pm to 01:00 am, entertainment will be constant in the axis of the riverside area that connects the Museum of Portimão to the space between bridges, with crafts, sweets, humor and various sounds, ranging from folklore to Portuguese music, with always present the good grilled sardines.

The main stage, located next to the old auction, has the official sponsorship of Continente and will present from 22 pm onwards a quality poster, free and for all, with performances by José Cid (00th August), Os Azeitonas (13th of August). August), Quim Roscas & Zeca Estacionâncio and Baile da Sardinha with local artist Rosa Martins (August 14), Band Pau d'Arara (August 15) and the Algarve bands Sabrosas Funk and La Plante Mutante (August 16), the last of which will be a retrospective of the songs that characterized the various seasons of the Festival da Sardine.

the olivesAlso in the bandstand next to Casa Inglesa there will be musical entertainment every day of the event, between 19:00 pm and 21:30 pm, by the Parish Council of Portimão with the following program: August 13th – Fadista Teresa Viola; August 14 – Popular music with SOS; August 15th – Tribute to the Beatles by the Come Together group; August 16 – Project 70 – music from the 1970s; August 17th – Single Song Band.

In addition to all these musical proposals, there will also be daily participation by folklore groups and accordion players, which will animate the axis of participating restaurants and the space in the riverside area of ​​Portimão between the bandstand and the area between bridges.

An experience that promises many surprises and good emotions, the Sardine Festival is organized by the Municipality of Portimão/Portimão Urbis, which has the official sponsorship of Continente and the sponsorship of Delta Cafés and Nosolagua, being the official supplier of drinks to Super Bock, which are associated as partners by Turismo do Algarve, the Parish Council of Portimão and the newspaper Barlavento.
