Military members of the Territorial Post of the Republican National Guard (GNR) of Faro detained yesterday at Praia de Faro, Montenegro, a 25-year-old Portuguese man who carried enough hash pollen with him for 1297 individual doses.
The arrest took place at around 22 pm, during a proximity patrol, when the «attitude of the occupants of a moped that was circulating in that place attracted the attention of the patrol».
When they ordered the moped to be stopped, its occupants “showed suspicious behavior, due to the attitude and nervousness they expressed”, underlines the GNR in a press release.
The hash pollen acorns were discovered "after a personal security search of the passenger of the vehicle", who was carrying the drug "in a pouch concealed in his clothing".
In addition to the narcotic, two mobile phones he was carrying with him were also seized.
The detainee, residing in the Estoi area, Faro, and with a criminal record for the same type of crime, is being present at the Judicial Court of the District of Faro to apply the measures of coercion found to be adequate.
