The program Total Summer of RTP will be live, from Armação de Pêra, next Friday, June 20th.
The broadcast, conducted by presenters Isabel Angelino and José Carlos Malato, will take place from the old mini-golf area and will start at 10:00 am, ending at 18:00.
Present will be a variety of local artists and artisans, as well as local figures. The broadcast will seek to make known this fishing village, its traditions and its people, at the same time as it will promote the Festival of Caldeirada and Petisco do Mar, which starts on the same day and is now in its XNUMXth edition.
As a matter of fact, it will be shown, live, how the traditional and special stew in Armacen style is made, with the help of the restaurants that participate in this initiative.
Also noteworthy is the anniversary of the elevation to village of this location.
One of the innovations introduced this year at the Festival da Caldeirada is the emphasis that will be given to all the snacks that originate from the sea and that may attract visitors to experience the great traditional culinary diversity of A. Pêra.
By the way, thinking precisely about this, the organization created a small passport that will allow its holders to benefit from a weekend draw (under the “Accommodation and Breakfast” regime) at the Holiday Inn Algarve hotel in Armação de Pêra.
All participants who complete the boxes in the aforementioned passport will be offered a daily ticket that will give access to the XI Medieval Fair of Silves.
Thus, of the five squares, four must be filled with the consumption of snacks and one, with stew. Only with all the grids completed will you be able to qualify for the prizes. Passports must be left at one of the participating restaurants.
The draw will be held on June 21, at 15:00 pm, at the Parish Council of Armação de Pêra, with the winners being announced in due course on the CMS website and facebook

The Grill, Nautical Art, Cantinho do Mar, Casa d'Avó, Almadrava Brewery, Balbino Barbecue, “O Casarão” Barbecue, Estrela-do-mar, Marisqueira Hera, O Fernando, O Pelintra, O Silvense, O Walter, Por- do-sol, Rocha da Palha and Tasquinha dos Pescadores.
The event's program foresees, for the 20th, not only the RTP program, but the presence of the Friends of Montenegro Ethnographic Group, which between 19 pm and 00 pm will animate the restaurants and surrounding area.
On the 21st, in addition to the return of the Friends of Montenegro Ethnographic Group (12:00-15:30), the village will be animated by the street of the Percutunes percussion group, which will enter the seafront next to the Holiday Inn Hotel at 21:30 pm and continue to the Fish market. Street entertainment (giant stilts, juggling, comic bicycle, street magic) will also be a constant in the participating restaurants and in the surrounding streets.
On the 22nd, the last day of the event, the Friends of Montenegro Ethnographic Group returns between 12:00 and 15:30 and 19:00 and 23:00.
In Fortaleza, at 21 pm, the Portuguese popular music group Cante Andarilho will perform and, right after the show, souvenirs will be delivered to all participating restaurants by the Executive Chamber.
