The GNR of Olhão detained two men, one of whom will be a member of the Portuguese Navy, for drug trafficking and seized about 30 kilos of hash pollen. The arrest took place in the Moncarapacho area, in Olhão, at dawn.

The men, aged 27 and 31, both from the Lisbon metropolitan area, were approached and identified by GNR soldiers who suspected their "posture and behavior", having discovered in the trunk of the car three packs of drugs, "enough for more than 150 thousand individual doses». “At the beginning of the morning, during an unexpected road inspection, a high-capacity light passenger vehicle was approached in the interior of the town of Moncarapacho – Olhão”, describes the GNR.
The suspicious attitude of the two men led the military to inspect the car, verifying "the existence in the trunk of three packages of narcotic product".

In addition to the drugs, 'a 9mm firearm, which was in the possession of one of the occupants, a loader with seventeen rounds, three mobile phones, as well as the light passenger vehicle used to transport the narcotic product, was also seized. ».

The two men are currently being interrogated in Faro.
