The «Scenaries – Loulé Theater Exhibition» festival will kick off on March 7th and will feature plays by three amateur groups and one professional from Loulé and two professional groups nationwide. The pieces will be exhibited at the Cine-teatro Louletano, but also in the different parishes of the municipality, until April 19th.
One of the highlights of the event, to take place on March 27, World Theater Day, will be the play «Mary Poppins, The Woman who saved the World», a co-production by Teatro do Eléctrico and Teatro Esfera, with text and staging by Ricardo Neves -Neves., which will take the stage of the Cine-teatro Louletano, at 21 pm.
Also professional, but born in the municipality of Loulé, is the company «Ao Luar Teatro, which will kick off the show with the play «Ora cantas tu, now I play!», at Associação Social and Cultural de Almancil, on March 7, at 21:30 pm. This show, produced by the group from Sarnadas, parish of Alte, will also be shown at the Sociedade Recreativa e Cultural de Boliqueime (8 March, 21:30 pm), Grupo Desportivo Ameixialense (March 16, 16:21 pm), Centro Paroquial da Tôr (21 de March, 30:29 pm), Barrosas Cultural and Recreative Association (March 21, 30:5 pm), Sport Clube de Benafim (April 21, 30:12 pm) Parragilense Social and Cultural Center (April 21, 30:13 pm), Salir Community Center (April 16, April, 19 pm) and the Municipal Center of Quarteira (April 21, 30:XNUMX pm).
In addition to this show, «Ao Luar Teatro stars in two more plays, «Poema com Pão», at the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in Querença at 16 pm on March 9th, and «Contos ao Poente», at the Cândido Guerreiro e Condes de Change, on the 28th of March, at 10 am and 14 pm.
Another group from the Municipality of Loulé, the Arte de Viver Theater Group of the Senior University of Loulé, will also perform in the 9th edition of «Scenarios». On March 8, at 21 pm, he takes to the stage of the Cine-Teatro Louletano with «Auto da Vida e da Morte by António Aleixo».
Coming from the parish of Boliqueime and composed mainly of foreign residents, the Teatro Grupo A Portada joins this event with the play «Remnants of an Empire – Remnants of an Empire», staged by Nicky Moran, who will take the stage at the Cine-Teatro Louletano on March 22nd and 23rd, at 21:30 pm.
The Analysis Theater of the Casa da Cultura de Loulé, a participant since the first edition of this Theater Show, brings the play «O Amante», which will be on stage at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, on March 29, at 21 pm.
The shows in the parishes have free entry, but the pieces shown at the Cine-Teatro Louletano will have a paid admission, namely: «Auto da Vida e da Morte by António Aleixo» – 5 euros; «Remnants of an Empire – Remnants of an Empire» – 12 euros (general public) and 7 euros (students); «Mary Poppins, The Woman who Saved the World» – 10 euros; and “The Lover” – 5 euros.
The «Scenarios – Loulé Theater Exhibition» is an initiative promoted by the Municipality of Loulé that aims to promote theater to various audiences and, at the same time, encourage theater groups in the Municipality to continue their work.
