The assessment of the Environmental Impact of the Project of the Bridge and Access to the Beach of Faro and Parking exterior, located in the Parish of Montenegro, will be in Public Consultation from July 10th to August 21st, announced the CCDRA.

The proponent is Sociedade Polis Ria Formosa – Society for the Requalification and Valorization of Ria Formosa, being the Municipal Council of Faro the licensing entity.

The preliminary project is subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment procedure, as established in current legislation.

The Non-Technical Summary is available for Public Consultation, for 30 business days, from July 10th to August 21st, 2013, in the following places:

The Non-Technical Summary (RNT) can also be consulted at the Parish Council of Montenegro, and is also available on the CCDR Algarve page (www.ccdr-alg.pt).

Within the scope of the Public Consultation process, all opinions and suggestions presented in writing will be considered and analyzed, as long as they are specifically related to the project under evaluation.

These exhibitions must be addressed to CCDR Algarve until the end of the Public Consultation.

Licensing (or authorization) for the project can only be granted after a Favorable or Conditionally Favorable Environmental Impact Statement issued by the Secretary of State for the Environment and Spatial Planning, or after the deadline for its issuance.

The Environmental Impact Statement must be issued by October 25th.
