Two dozen bishops from all over the country will be in Portimão on June 20th for the Silver Jubilee of D. Manuel Madureira Dias, Bishop Emeritus of the Algarve, revealed to Sul Informação Father Mário Sousa.
The celebrations, which will take place at the Igreja de Matriz in Portimão, mark the 25th anniversary of the episcopal ordination of D, Manuel Madureira Dias and begin with a Eucharistic celebration at 18 pm.
This is followed by a tribute concert by the Orquestra do Algarve, offered by the Câmara de Portimão, scheduled for 22:00 at the Teatro Municipal de Portimão.
A exhibition of sacred art «I believe», which opens on May 25th at the Portimão Museum, is also part of this program of celebrations for the Silver Jubilee of the former Bishop of the Algarve.
