Marco Calapez, 25 years old, was elected coordinator of JS Monchique, in the elections for the Municipality, which took place after some years of inactivity in the structure of this Algarve municipality.
Marco Calapez, who headed the only candidate list for this suffrage, is a finalist for the Degree in Tourism at the ESGHT of the University of Algarve and acts as secretary of the Directorate of Juventude Desportiva Monchiquense.
The JS Municipal Secretariat is also composed of Luís Alexandre, Rute Maria, João Ramalho and Diogo Pascoal, as effective members, with Joana Alves and André Viana being elected as alternates.
Tiago Albano was elected to chair the Board of the Militants' Assembly, and João da Silva, Nádia Veiga and Sílvia Luz (alternate) were elected as secretaries.
The main political guidelines for this mandate are “the search for solutions to the problems that affect young people in Monchique, namely the need for them to leave the municipality to access qualified training or a 1st job, a situation that makes their job unsustainable. return and that compromises the modernization and development of the Municipality».
JS Monchiquense also intends to boost the civic participation of young people, developing a set of initiatives that involve young people in the search for answers for the future of youth in Monchique.
