Teatro das Figuras will once again receive a Promenade Concert, by the Orquestra do Algarve, on the 17th, at 12 noon, which this time highlights the play «História do Soldado», by Stravinsky.
Conductor Jan Wierzba will lead the Algarve orchestra in the first event of the month, whose programming is very focused on the Educational Service.
At the next Promenade concert, the children and their families will be introduced to a work by Stravinsky that “has indisputably a prominent place in the panorama of the interaction between music and theatrical performance”.

On February 20, the Educational Service of Teatro das Figuras, which has the support of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, as Exclusive Sponsor, returns to action, this time with the initiative «Atrás do Pano – staged visits to Teatro das Figuras ».
For this day, there are three sessions dedicated to the school public, who will be able to know the backstage of the cultural space and watch a show, in a co-production between Teatro das Figuras and Associação ArQuente.
On the 24th, at 17 pm, Teatro das Figuras presents the classic ballet «Sleeping Beauty» by the Russian Classical Ballet company, in a Classic Stage production. This classic with music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa is based on an «enchanted world of castles and forests, curses and fairies, in which only the kiss of true love will manage to undo the spell».
