The Nucleus of Pharmaceutical Sciences Students of the University of Algarve (NECiFarm), will promote the III NECiFarm Colloquium, on the next 6th and 7th of December, at the University of Algarve's Gambelas Campus, in Faro. This year's edition of the initiative is under the theme “The Pharmacist at the forefront of Innovation”.
The colloquium is one of the initiatives included in the commemorations of the 5 years of this Autonomous Section of the Academic Association of the University of Algarve. The program includes lectures, debates and workshops on the themes "Personal Marketing", "Group Communication" and "Entrepreneurship".
The first day, December 6, will be dedicated to presentations on various topics related to the general theme of the colloquium, starting at 14 pm and ending with a round table, scheduled for 17:45 pm.
On December 7th, a special focus will be given to training actions, with workshops on the three themes taking place in parallel at 9 am and 10:45 am. After the close of the colloquium, scheduled for 12:45 pm, there will be a place for socializing at the V Gala of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which starts at 19:30 pm.
“Industry data tells us that Community Pharmacy continues to absorb the majority of pharmacists, but the statistics have started to change. However, it seems to us that the pharmacist should see the community pharmacy as his main space, as it is there that he most dignifies his basic commitments: the provision of health care to the population», framed the event's organizers.
“Nevertheless, there is an asset that comes from the extensive and diversified training of any pharmacist and that remains to be explored. It is precisely this lode that this colloquium intends to focus on, as it is from it that derives what for many is the lifeline for the sector: innovation», they add.
