A solidarity tournament of Beach Soccer, which will take place tomorrow, Saturday, from 9 am, on the beach soccer field of Centro Náutico da Ilha de Faro, will help the House of Boys in Faro. The event, sized for 60 players, has as its inscription jewel a school notebook, which will be donated to the boys of Instituto Dom Francisco Gomes.
This is an initiative of the newly elected Socialist Youth leadership of Faro, headed by Ricardo Mariano. It is also the first of a series of actions that young people intend to promote in the municipality in various areas, «with special attention to Employment and Entrepreneurship, Environment, Solidarity and Social Action, Education and Sport».
Tomorrow's Tournament will have 8 teams in competition, «that will compete throughout the day with the participation of accredited referees». "At the end, the top 3 classified teams will be recognized, the best scorer and the best goalkeeper, with the attribution of cups and medals to be delivered by the former captain of Sporting Clube Farense, Carlos Costa", revealed in a statement to JS /Faro.
The young socialists from Faro also defend that "it is extremely important to create this type of initiatives, in order to promote conviviality, solidarity, the practice of sports and a healthy lifestyle in the society of Faro."
