The hunting season for the best images of streets and monuments in the Algarve is now open. The competition «Algarve, Heritage Secrets – alleys, alleys and alleys with history» started this week and will elect the three most artistic photographs in digital format, which will be published on social networks, on the website of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve (DRCAlg) and in the «Guia Algarve», monthly publication of events with an average circulation of 70 thousand copies.

Turismo do Algarve and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve team up to challenge photography lovers to portray the cultural heritage in a pastime where what matters most is to awaken to the region's history. The initiative has already started and is accepting works until September.

The prizes for the winners are appealing: the first place will receive a weekend for two people at the Grande Real Santa Eulália Resort & Hotel Spa, in Albufeira.

The rest are eligible to win a dinner at the «A Ver Tavira» restaurant, a free entry passport to the Sagres Fortress and the Roman Ruins of Milreu or products from merchandising of the promoting entities.

To participate, just fill in the form available at www.turismodoalgarve.pt and submit the photographs until the 30th of September, sending them to Turismo do Algarve (Avenida 5 de Outubro, 18, 8000-076 Faro) or doing the upload straight from the images on ftp.turismodoalgarve.pt. More information in the regulation, in www.turismodoalgarve.pt.

"The aim is to make people aware of the importance of the region's cultural heritage, similarly to what we did last year (and successfully) with nature in the 'Algarve, Natural Secrets' hobby", explains the president of Turismo do Algarve António Pina.

The Real Hotels group and the «A Ver Tavira» restaurant are the strategic partners of DRCAlg and Turismo do Algarve in this initiative.
